Beginning in 2018, Fortnite players not only received gifts from the developers, but also had fun in the Winter Royale tournaments. Epic Games has announced a new battle royale for this year. The news appeared on the developers’ Twitter on December 9, and the fight will take place in a new format.

The start of the Snow Fight is scheduled for December 12 and will last for 2 days. The battle will be played out in a trio. The winners of the tournament will compete against each other for $ 5 million and the Merry Sleigh graffiti. What the graffiti will look like is not yet known.

The organizers divided the fight into 4 sessions, 2 in one day. The number of teams that will be able to advance to the 2nd round has been set:

  • 500 teams from Europe, America and Brazil;
  • 250 teams from Asia, the Middle East and Oceania.

During one session, a team has the right to take part in only 6 matches.

Each of the sessions takes place separately from the others. Scoring for a victory on December 12th is different from eliminating it on December 13th.

How win points will be awarded

On the first day, for the first two stages, the first place winner will receive 30 points. The minimum number of points will be awarded to players from 11th to 20th places – 2 points. For each elimination, the player receives 2 points.

On the second day, a Victory Royale will give the player 25 points, and 1 point will be awarded for the last 17th place. Each elimination is also 1 point.

Prize fund

  • For the “Snow Clash” tournament, the winners will share $ 5 million.
  • Those who took from 1 to 35 places received $ 1800 each.
  • From 36th to 400th place, they will win $ 1200 each.

Each participant receives a gift

Each player who accepted a battle within the framework of the tournament and managed to score 5 points will receive an in-game graffiti “Merry Sleigh”.

It seems that it will not be difficult to score such a number of points, because the players will take part in 12 battles only on the first day of the tournament. It will not be difficult to make several eliminations or hide from enemies and get a high place without a fight. We will find out which path users will choose on December 12.
