The standard Fortnight map is an island where all in-game events take place. In addition to her, there are locations created by users – the so-called. custom maps. Anyone can create them using Fortnite-Creative mode.

Island Maps

The island map is the main location in PVP. Players are dropped on it from a flying bus and a royal battle unfolds on it. The island has undergone several changes, during which new objects were added, old ones were removed.

Old version

The old card can be considered the 1st chapter of the 2nd season.

It contained the following locations:

1. Mountain town.
2. Weeping Grove.
3. Lonely lake.
4. Holly fences.
5. A store.
6. Nectar lowland.
7. Careless shore.
8. Fatal farm.
9. Nice park.
10. Beach village.
11. Giant cooling towers.
12. Sharp keys.

Compared to the previous season, the map has undergone major changes.

Changes to the new map

After the launch of Chapter 2 of Season 2, the Fortnite map has been changed.

In the new version, the developers have added a number of new places.

At the same time, the old ones have been preserved.

List of added locations:

1. Helicopter landing pad. Located in the east of the island. It is a cave with a pier and a helipad inside. You can take off through the gap at the top.
2. Oil Platform. Located in the sea near the Nectar Lowland. Can be used as a landing site. Valuable loot often spawns on the platform, so it makes sense to land there.
3. Yacht. Spawns randomly in the sea. Offers good loot.
4. House on Shark Island. A new building appeared on the rock.

Smaller objects have also been added, which do not affect the gameplay so much.

Experience card for season 2

At new locations, you can get additional experience points, which are used to upgrade the battle pass.

To do this, just visit the places that the developers have added.

Points are awarded not only for the first visit. If you appear at the location for the second time, they will still be given out.

Also, additional experience – 2000 points – can be obtained for passing through the iron bridges located:

• between Pleasant Park and Beach Village;
• between Sharp Springs and Pleasant Park;
• near Fatal Farm.

How to use custom maps for Fortnite

Custom maps are created by the players themselves using the Fortnite-Creative mode. Among them you can find cool ones, for example, Dead by Fortlight IV: Halloween (code for 3 players – 9908-7976-0032, for 4 – 5809-4686-3899) or Hyrule Temple (0961-5033-7392).

To join one of them, you will need:

1. Go to Fortnite-Creative Mode.
2. Click “Start”.
3. Wait for the download to complete.
4. Approach the orange rift.
5. Rotate 180 °.
6. Approach another rift marked “Recommended”.
7. Use the INTERACT KEY (E).
8. Enter the card code.

You can create custom maps yourself. They are suitable if 2-3 friends are going to play. After all, the terrain can be created for your own style of play or taking into account your needs.

To connect to any custom map, you need a code – a combination of numbers that identifies the location.

PVP cards

PvP maps are designed for online battles between two teams of players.

Some maps are specifically designed to train reflexes and parkour skills, warm up and get ready for the game.

If you wish, you can create a training map yourself, taking into account your own needs.

Fortnite mini-games

Fortnite features mini-games created by gamers in Fortnite-Creative mode. You can use them in the same way as custom maps – using a code.

They enter them for the sole purpose of getting fun and distracting from the matches in the big battle royale mode.

For doubles passage

In addition to locations for 1v1 battles, there are those that provide for paired passage without battles. The main task is to get from point A to point B. There is no need to fight, but you have to use parkour skills. However, these maps are less interesting, since the gameplay is calm, unhurried, with a minimum of action.

In Fortnite-Creative mode, users have created a large number of game maps on their own. Many are not inferior to the official ones. Some people copy other games.

A quality parody of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater

It is an analogue of the location from the game of the same name for the PlayStation 4. It is limited by buildings on all sides. Has various obstacles that must be overcome on a gravity skate.

The Cube with many traps

A new version of Cuba is currently in development. It is the third in a row and is due out in a few months. The creators promise to change the internal structure of the map and new traps.

A dilapidated bridge. Contains many elements that make parkour easier as well as cover. This makes it well suited for battles.
