Of all the items that Fortnight players use, weapons are one of the most important. Some types of ammunition can be obtained for completing tasks, while others will have to be purchased.

When classifying weapons, attention is paid to several factors, including the level of rarity, the type of attack, and the degree of upgrade.

Rarity

The parameters of a combat tool largely depend on the level of rarity, including its durability, the number of charges, the degree of damage done, the speed of reloading, and the number of degrees of evolution.

There are several types:

  • standard (2 stages of evolution);
  • unusual (3 steps);
  • rare (4 degrees of upgrade);
  • epic (5 stars of evolution);
  • legendary (5 stars).

Level

The level of a combat item can be seen in the statistics: it is displayed in the picture. This indicator can be increased using blueprints, recipes, units of experience.

With an increase in the degree, the strength of the weapon and its power also increase.

To transfer a combat device to the next stage of evolution, you need to increase the level to 10th.

Classification

Evolution

Upgrading an item takes time, experience, and rare resources. After reaching the first evolutionary star, the weapon becomes copper.

To turn an item into silver, you need to get 2 stars, and after 3 stars, the ammunition becomes malachite.

Players who have managed to pump a combat item to level 10 of the 3rd stage get the opportunity to choose 1 of 2 paths for further development:

  • classic (combat equipment gains increased durability);
  • crystal (this type deals great damage to the enemy, recharges faster, but loses strength and becomes less durable).

Weapon types in Fortnite

It is important for gamers to understand which weapon will help to win a particular type of battle. Fortnite offers several types of combat gear.

Pistols

Pistols are only effective in the early stages of the game. Despite the fact that they provide high accuracy of the shot, the damage is too small to defeat the opponent.

Players can choose one of these models:

  • heavy pistol (damage from 75 to 78, 7 rounds, reload time – 2.1 seconds);
  • model with a silencer (from 26 to 28, clip – 16, reload – 1.3);
  • Pistol model (23-24, 16 rounds, reload – 1.5);
  • model “Breter” (from 86 to 90, 1 cartridge in a clip, reloading – 3).

This weapon is effective during close range combat.

There are several types of shotguns in Fortnite:

  • tactical shotgun (damage to the enemy from 67 to 74, clip – 8, reload – from 5.7 to 6.3 seconds);
  • combat shotgun (from 73 to 81, clip – 10, time to next shot – 4.7-5.3);
  • minigun (from 18 to 19, the weapon is used to destroy buildings, it is too weak for a duel).

If you prefer sniper weapons, then the following models will be available to you:

  • heavy rifle (damage from 150 to 157, 1 charge, reload time – 4.2 seconds);
  • a rifle with a silencer (from 100 to 105, 1 charge, a second shot is possible after 2.85 seconds);
  • semi-automatic model Semi-Auto Sniper (from 75 to 78, 10 rounds per clip, re-shot after 2.5).

Fortnight provides the following options:

  • M4 model (damage from 30 to 33 depending on the rarity level, clip – 30, reload time 2.3 seconds);
  • SCAR model (from 35 to 36, clip – 30, reload – 2.2);
  • Heavy Assault Rifle assault rifle (from 44 to 48, 25 charges, reload 2.8);
  • self-loading rifle Infantry Rifle (from 42 to 44, 8 rounds, reload – 2.2);
  • automatic rifle with a sight (from 23 to 24, clip – 20, reload – 2.3);
  • tactical assault rifle Tactical Assault Rifle (from 22 to 24, clip – 30, reload – from 1.98 to 2.2).

Grenade launchers and rocket launchers

This type of weapon is suitable for missions related to massive destruction, fishing, explosion of buildings.

The following models are available for gamers:

  • rocket launcher (damage from 116 to 121, 1 charge, re-shot after 2.66 seconds);
  • grenade launcher (from 100 to 110 health units, 6 rounds in a clip, re-shot after 2.7-3 seconds);
  • touchscreen grenade launcher (67-70 damage units, 2 shells, reload cost for 2.9).

Founder’s Arsenal

Access to the Founder’s arsenal is available to gamers who purchase a Deluxe Pass to the paid version of Fortnite called Fighting the Storm.

The set of rare ammunition includes:

  • hole;
  • ninja sword;
  • floor stakes for traps;
  • pistol “Sharp shot”;
  • exclusive pistol “Rebel” with a laser sight and a large magazine;
  • Drum Roll Rifle;
  • automatic machine “Nocturne”.

In the free “Battle Royale” mode, weapon upgrades are not possible regardless of the amount of your resources. The durability of combat devices is infinite, they cannot be destroyed.
