David aqua Wang was the first to receive a ban from participating in tournaments. The duration of his blocking was 2 weeks. In this case, the specific reason is not named, since the client displays “Other” in the reason column.
Fans have come up with 2 blocking theories:
- The first is streamsniping from the player’s side. However, David denies any involvement in observing the actions of the opponent. But users posted a screenshot showing David’s active Twitch account during the tournament.
- The second reason may be the deliberate use of suicide. This technique is used to avoid giving points to the opposing team. Wang calls this reason completely unfair, since many other players have also resorted to it in tournaments.
Another blocked player was Mongraal, who was kicked out of the server during the tournament. He and his comrades sat down on Stark Industries and captured the boss. Having received the key card, the player began to open the entrance to the vault, but at the same time he regularly hit it with a pickaxe. Immediately after several hits, the player was crashed, and could no longer log into the server due to an error message.
Players believe this may be a special measure put in place by Epic Games to ensure that the rules are not breached in professional games. Since a long time ago there were ways that allowed to bypass the mechanics of the game and enter the vault without using a key card. The developers did not comment on these situations in any way.
