Fortnite Season 7 is already here, and while the Battle Pass includes tons of cool skins (including Rick Sanchez’s Rick and Morty), only one of them allows you to customize it with over 2,000 possible combinations.
Kaymera, the purple-skinned Alien Invader, is one of the first skins available in the Season 7 Battle Pass. He’s essentially your guinea pig, combining different facial features, skin tones, and armor colors.
However, you will need alien artifacts to unlock its various customization options, and this is where the problem arises. The artifacts are simple purple canisters with a glowing stone inside. They are really no bigger than any other item you find in the wild, but you definitely want to keep an eye out as there is no particular rhyme or reason where they appear.
Once you have collected enough alien artifacts, you can return them in the Kymera customization menu and spend (or simply save) to unlock new possibilities. It is likely that the more expensive customization options will require you to collect alien artifacts for several weeks, so don’t waste them all once you get them.
Here’s where to find alien artifacts in Fortnite Season 7.
Alien Artifact Locations – Week 1
We start with a humble five alien artifacts in Fortnite Season 7 Week 1. Their arrangement has a pleasant semicircular orientation.
Alien Artifact 1: Travel to Catty Corner and enter the two-story platform outside of Meuscle’s old house. It’s on the lower level, so all you need is one quick descent to get up there.
Alien Artifact 2: The dead center of the map in the “Aftermath” location, aka a giant pit left by alien invaders when they tore the Spire out of the ground. You will see an artifact floating above the water in the middle of a small lake.
Alien Artifact 3: West of the Weeping Forest in the Vorsin location. The artifact is in a wooden building in the southwest corner.
Alien Artifact 4: Northeast of Believers Beach. You will see a smaller version of the Spire, and the artifact is located just above the spiral staircase.
Alien Artifact 5: North of the Roots Complex, in an old apple orchard across the street from the pizzeria. He will simply rest on the right side of the forested garden.
